Life is Short. Live and love...

So last night my grandfather Rollin Mahoney passed away. He was 91 years old and lost his battle with liver cancer. He is survived by his wife of 65 years and two sons (one being my Dad) We are sad to have lost him but know that he is in a better place and not suffering anymore. He was in hospice care at the end and I can't say enough beautiful things about their process of letting go. He died peacefully in his home surrounded by his wife and sons and all of his beloved model cars.

We had the wonderful opportunity to spend some time with him over the past couple months and created some beautiful memories with him. He died on the eve of his favorite holiday, we like to think just in time to have an Irish whiskey with the angels over Ireland. This post is dedicated to him. Happy St. Patty's Day Pop! We love you and miss you! Slainte!

God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be.So He put His arms around you and whispered “come to me.” With tearful eyes we watched you, and saw you pass away. Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest.God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best
